Day 9 Thoughts

Today I learned about Twitter and Social Bookmarking. Unfortunately, I didn't get too much out of either topic. It's not something I would use anyway.

Day 8 Thoughts

Today I learned about the virtual library. It was interesting to learn about all the different resources that are available to us. I was really interested in HeritageQuest to find some of my family members. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find anyone. Not my family or my husband's family.

Day 7 Thoughts

Today I learned about Podcasting, IM, and Downloadable Audiobooks. I'm already fairly familiar with Podcasting and IM, although I don't use them very often. I don't think I will be using any Downloadable Audiobooks. I'd rather read a book than listen to it.

Day 6 Thoughts

Today I explored Wikis and Google Docs. I didn't really see any uses for Wikis for myself, but I can see where I could maybe use the Google Docs.

Day 5 Thoughts

Today we learned about Social Networking. It was probably one of the easiest Tune-Ups so far. I don't have a Facebook account myself yet, and I'm not sure if I will create one. I do like to look up people that I haven't seen in years (like from high school) and see where they are now. My 15 and 18 year old sons told me if I create one "they won't be my friend because that's just weird".

Day 4 Thoughts

Today we learned about Flickr. It was pretty hard to get through so I doubt I will use this at home. My hour is almost up, so I need to go punch out!!

Day 3 Thoughts

Ok, so today we covered Pandora and You Tube. I had been on You Tube before but not Pandora. It was really easy to get through both of them. I think I will use both of these at home. I know my kids do. You can find just about anything you want to see (and some things you don't!) on You Tube. Pandora is a good idea, but I think I would use my Ipod more.
